Climate Change

Climate change is the single biggest non-nuclear threat to humankind today. Rising oceans endanger coastal communities all over the globe, and warming ocean surface temperatures exert complicated, intensifying effects on weather systems everywhere.

Regardless of the causes of climate change, we must recognize that there are things humans do that accelerate and complicate these changes, and it is vitally important that we identify the many ways we can curtail the damage however and whenever we can. We have surrendered our leadership role on this issue to countries like China and Germany, but at least we can recognize the science behind their climate policies and adapt those policies to ourselves – especially in ways that have exclusively positive side effects, like Renewable Energy
